A Day in the Life at Mud Creek Ranch

Morning Wake-Up Call

Expect a wake-up knock on the door, followed by fresh-brewed coffee and a morning snack. Jeff and Steve, your expert guides, will discuss the game plan and escort you to one of our many comfortable blinds. You will be picked up from the stand around 9-10 am and welcomed back at camp with a breakfast fit for kings.

Midday

Midday, you're welcome to utilize any of the several stocked ponds on the ranch to test your angling skills against the Florida-strain largemouth bass, black crappie, and channel catfish in our stocked ponds.

Lunch will be served between 12-2 pm.

You’ll typically head back out to the blinds for an afternoon hunt around 3 pm.

An Evening In

The soft, warm glow of a campfire will welcome you after a long day of hunting. Dinner and drinks will be served. Then, we'll either cape and score your buck or do it all again tomorrow.

We look forward to sharing our peace on earth with you. We guarantee you’ll enjoy the experience of a lifetime.

Family-Owned, Family Operated

Mud Creek Ranch Whitetails & Exotics is one of the few deer hunting ranches family-owned and family-operated in the piney woods of East Texas. Megan Collins and the rest of the Collins crew have a heart for providing families with outdoor experiences they will never forget. They have gone out of their way to provide amenities that make your stay more than just a hunt, but a comprehensive outdoor experience, complete with opportunities for skeet shooting, bass and crappie fishing, hiking, and more.

Mud Creek Ranch covers 1,000 beautiful acres of woods and grasslands, so there’s plenty of room for your family and friends to roam. Take a walk in the woods, cool your feet in Mud Creek, or sit quietly to experience the natural surroundings from the comfortable wraparound porch. Countless hours have been poured into cultivating and caring for our little slice of outdoorsman's paradise. And we want to share it with you.

Jeff Garrett, Megan’s brother-in-law, is the hunting guide, the skinner, the field dresser, and the cook. He resides in a cabin on the ranch premises to be readily available whenever you need him. When you book a hunt at Mud Creek Ranch, Jeff is your go-to guy for the duration of your stay. Jeff is joined by Steve Phillips, who serves as an additional guide, and David Clifton, a local taxidermist who specializes in field dressing hides for tanning. Each is dedicated to ensuring your experience is safe, fruitful, and fun.

Make memories that matter with your family and friends at Mud Creek Ranch Whitetails & Exotics.
